Residents are opposed to embroiling themselves in any conflict or confrontation with the Mgt.
Why are we being asked to pay much higher maintenance charges than many other housing societies? Why are we paying 20% of maintenance charges on account of street lights, and at the same, being asked to pay another hefty amount in “Misc Electricity Charges” (reportedly for street lights, among others). Maintenance charges in BEI were increased in July, last year. Increasing them again barely after 7 months is not justified, even if the inflation is factored in.
SOBER recommends, once again, to withhold the payment of maintenance bill. We shouldn’t pay it this month too. This is one form of peaceful resistance to injustice, and unfair business practices.
